North Ogden - Elizabeth "Betsy" Welton Gay Brown returned to her Heavenly Father following a long illness on May 14, 2012. She was born February 17, 1952 in Emporia, Virginia to Charles Presley and Ella Butterworth Mallory Gay. She married Ralph Brown in Emporia on February 3, 1973.

Betsy enjoyed crossword puzzles, collecting dog statues, camping and baking.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph; children, Jennifer Mitchell, Jeff Brown, Staci Brown and Lori (Jace) Higgs; 7 grandchildren; her sister Martha (Don) Martin and her lifelong childhood friend, Sarah Gordon. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 2012 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 17th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 11:45a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Interment in the Ben Lomond Cemetery.
