Elosia Alvarado Christensen

Elosia Alvarado Christensen 73, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Ogden Regional Hospital.
Elosia was born on September 9, 1942 in Reno, Nevada a daughter of Alfredo V. and Helen Barrera Alvarado. She was married to Wendell Christensen for 20 wonderful years.
Elosia enjoyed being with family, fishing, reading, crafts, sewing, porcelain dolls, and crocheting blankets for all her grandbabies and great-grandbabies.
Elosia was a member of the Catholic Church, she was a Catechism teacher, she was involved in compassionate services, and church fundraising. She was an active member of the Senior Center where her and her husband received an award for volunteer of the year and enjoyed doing Meals on Wheels. She also enjoyed going on the fun Bus to Wendover with her husband, and other activities.
Surviving are her children: Debra Cole, So. Ogden; Gloria (David) Glismann, Brigham City; Kathy (Tom) Lebo, Plain City; Marcie Powell, Tremonton; Carey (Kristy) Christensen, Pinedale, WY; Kirk (Corey) Christensen, West Jordan; Larry (Noelle) Christensen, Brigham City; 21 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. Also are her siblings: Albert (Mary) Alvarado and Elida Gonzales.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband Wendell, son Christopher Silva, bothers: Alfred and Angelo Alvarado, and her special puppy Minnie.
We would also like to acknowledge her best friend and soul sister Terri Roche.
Viewing will be Friday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. with the Rosary Services at 7:45 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City, UT. and Saturday 12 to 12:45 p.m. at the Mortuary.
Funeral Mass will be Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Henry's Catholic Church, 380 S. 200 E., Brigham City, UT.
Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Henry's Church or Brigham City Senior Center.
