Ernest W. Hager

Clearfield - Ernie William Hager, 68, died Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at his home in Clearfield with his wife Anne, of 48 years, by his side.

He was born January 29, 1936 in Logan, West Virginia, a son of Fred Wilson Hager and Mamie Damron Hager.

He served in the Marines then joined the Air Force and served in the Vietnam War at the 28th SQD and retired, May 31, 1972 as a Staff Sergeant. He was employed with Civil Service at Hill AFB as an Aircraft Sheet metal maintenance repairer and retired after 14 years.

He joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on February 7, 2004.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping.

Surviving are his wife, Anna Lee; daughter, Karen (Kenneth) Mauchley, Layton; son, Ron (Janet) Hager, Layton; son, Fred (Julie) Hager, West Point; daughter, Sandy (Monte) Wade, Farr West; two sisters, Irene Albritton, Layton; Florence Robbins, Sacramento, CA; two nieces, Vickie Norton and Lynn Robbins; 12 grandchildren.
