ESTHER CAROLINE McHONE MITCHELL LAYTONa"Esther Caroline McHone Mitchell, 81, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2001 at Davis North Hospital. She was born September 16, 1920 in Altoona, Wisconsin, to Marvin E. and Mable Maxson McHone. She married Paul William Mitchell in Dubuque, Iowa on September 10, 1937. She loved playing card games and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Surviving are one son and two daughters, William Lawrence Mitchell, Layton, UT; Janet Eileen McBride White, Phoenix, AZ; and Joanne Esther Mead, Love Park, IL; 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great- great grandchildren; and one sister, Dorothy Simpson, Janesville, WI.
