ETHEL LUCILE LUND BROWN
ROY - God watched you as you suffered and knew you'd had your share. He gently closed your weary eyes and took you in his care. God has you in his keeping and we have you in our hearts. Your memory is our keepsake and with that we'll never part. Our beautiful mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Ethel Lucile Lund Brown, passed away peacefully October 12, 2007, at the Crestwood Care Center, to return to her Heavenly Father and the waiting arms of her eternal sweetheart, Amos.
Ethel was born July 26, 1915, in the home of her parents, Heber Corneluis and Alta Martin Lund in Plain City, Utah. Her parents considered her birth a great blessing to their lives and home. She lived in Plain City until November 1921, at which time their family moved to Farr West. She lived there until her marriage.
On June 19, 1935, she married the love of her life, Amos Augustus Brown for Time and All Eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Their marriage was blessed by five children; Barbara Lucile (Duane) Thomas, Plain City, Louis (Lou) Albert (Diane) Brown, Farmington, Beverly Beth (Andrew-deceased) Rasmussen, North Ogden, Dennis Lyn (Clair) Brown, Roy, and Deborah Kay (Larry) Hansen, Farr West, 22 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
After their marriage, Amos and Ethel moved to Plain City, Utah, until 1957, at which time they moved their family to Roy, where they lived until their passing.
Ethel was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and had a deep and abiding love for her Savior and the gospel principles. She held many positions in the church with the most recent being a Temple Worker, along with her husband, in the Ogden LDS Temple. She was also an active member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
Her working career, aside from being a great mom, was at Hill Air Force Base.
