EVELYN "VENUS" THOMPSON

SUNSET -Evelyn "Venus" Thompson, 73, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2001, at home after an extended illness.

She was born July 6, 1928, in Roy, Utah, the daughter of Edward and Evelyn Fields Barnes.

She married Ray D. Thompson on April 5, 1951 in Roy, Utah. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she held various positions.

She is survived by her husband, Ray D. Thompson, Sunset; sons and daughters: Brian (Pat) Thompson, Arnold, Maryland; Ron (Diana) Thompson, Clinton; Debbie (Dean) Keller, Rexburg, Idaho; Julie (Charles) Cordova, Clearfield; 22 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Also surviving four sisters: Dallas Allen, Henderson, Nevada; Lola Hodson, Beryl Hall, Darce Barnes , all of Roy.

Her parents, a sister, a son and a grandson preceded her in death.
