Farriel D. Hill Obituary (1928 - 2011)

Farriel D. Hill NORTH OGDEN -- Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Farriel D. Hill, 83, passed away on October 1, 2011, at Country Lane Assisted Living in Brigham City, Utah. He was born August 12, 1928, in Darby, Idaho to Dellis Glen and Dora Larsen Hill. Farriel was raised in Driggs, Idaho. He attended schools in Driggs and graduated from Teton High School. He served an LDS mission to the East Central States Mission where he labored in Kentucky and Tennessee. He married Mary Ward, the love of his life, on February 10, 1956 in the Logan LDS Temple. Farriel worked in the automotive repair industry for many years and owned and operated an automotive shop in Corinne, Utah until his retirement. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings. He was an active ordinance worker in the Ogden LDS temple for more than 10 years. Farriel had a great love for his family, his Savior and his church. He loved to work and to serve others. Surviving are his wife, Mary; children: Doral G. (Jenny) Hill of Willard, Utah, F. Bruce (Linda) Hill of Chino, CA, H. Cordell (Brenda) Hill of Perry, Utah, Eliot D. (Linda) Hill of Washington, Utah; 15 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his brother, Delmar (Barbara) Hill of Driggs, Idaho; sisters, Arlene Hatch and LaReta (Ted) Kelso both from Ogden, Utah, Treva (Jim) Dewey of Victor, Idaho. Farriel was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Roscoe Glen Hill, granddaughter Tricia Hill, brother-in-law Smith Hatch. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 5, 2011, at the North Ogden 5th Ward Chapel, 626 E. 2600 N., North Ogden, Utah. The family will meet with friends on Tuesday, October 4, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Myers Mortuary in Brigham City, 205 South First East, and Wednesday from 10:00 to 10:40 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Interment will be in the Willard Cemetery.
