Flora Kathrine (Hall) John

NORTH OGDEN - Flora Kathrine Hall John, 85, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2005 at McKay-Dee Hospital of Leukemia.

She was born April 18, 1920 in Portage, Utah, the daughter of Carroll Adrian and Clara Adelia Knudsen Hall.

On November 10, 1950 she married LaVerd John in the Salt Lake Temple.

Flora completed her foreordained mission on June 23, 2005. Her life was an example for all to emulate, especially those who suffer physical pain. Her cheerful and loving attitude warmed the hearts of all.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She willingly served as a leader of children, young women and adults. She spent 12 years training the officiators in the Ogden Temple. She loved and lifted everyone.

Flora and her husband shared their musical talents at rest homes, senior citizen programs, funerals, anniversaries, church meetings and civic and social meetings.

She is survived by her husband, LaVerd and three children, Mikhail (Janice) John, Ogden; Janene Jensen, Layton; Rose Marie (Robert) Empey, Pleasant View; 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, a brother and a grandson.
