Fonda Stitzer Obituary (1946 - 2024)

Fonda Dean Stitzer August 14th, 1946 - June 19th, 2024 Fonda Dean Wallace Craynor Stitzer 77 passed away surrounded by family and friends at the Lodge in North Ogden, Utah where she has resided for the last 3 years. She was born August 14th, 1946 in Ogden Utah to Dean E. Wallace and Fonda Nadine Robinson Wallace Turner. Fonda grew up in Ogden, Utah. She graduated from Ogden High School where she was on the pep squad and in many clubs. She attended Weber State College where she got her elementary education degree and taught from 1968-1994 for the Weber County School District. She was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma sorority and was a member of the Utah Council Teachers of Mathematics and National Council Teachers of Mathematics. She also attended Utah State University and the University of Utah. As a teacher, she was able to touch many lives. Fonda married James Oriel Craynor in 1967; they had two wonderful children, Bret W. Craynor, and Dana Lee Craynor. They resided in Riverdale, Utah. As a family they enjoyed hunting, camping, and had lots of fun. She really enjoyed all the kids' sports and activities. Fonda was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served and held many callings throughout the years. Fonda and James Crayor divorced in 1994, then married James Stitzer in the Ogden Utah Temple in 1995. She gained 4 stepchildren. After retiring from teaching, she continued to work for Ogden City School District for a few years as a math consultant. Jim and Fonda traveled the world together and made many wonderful memories. Fonda was reunited with her parents (Dean, and Nadine Wallace), brother (Brad Wallace), and her loving husband (James Stitzer), who preceded her in death. She is survived by her children Bret Craynor (Marianne), Dana Robison (Joe), and stepchildren Max Stitzer (Shelly), James Stitzer, Dan Stitzer (Kati), Kari Ronquillo (Josh), sister Dianne (Garth) Bryant, 15 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Viewing Saturday July 6th, 2024 from 9 am. -10:30 am followed by Funeral Services at 11:00 am at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. Interment will be at the Evergreen Memorial Park in Ogden, Utah following the services.
