Forest Morin Obituary (1941 - 2005)

Forest Morin OGDEN - Forest Morin passed away early Sunday, April 3, 2005 from complications with brain cancer. He was born on July 28, 1941 in May, Idaho to Claude O and Olive J Morin. His family moved to New Meadows, Idaho where he spent most of his childhood, then moved to Ogden in 1957. He attended Weber High and met his lifetime sweetheart Judy Volker. They married December 21, 1963 in St. Paul Lutheran Church. Forest received his degree in Forestry from Utah State University in 1965 and pursued his career with the Forest Service spending 26 years in various parts of Montana and finished his career in Lemmon, SD retiring in 1998. During his career he received an award in Washington D.C. for his elk and cattle study on Fleecer mountain. Forest was a devoted Christian, always serving in different capacities of the church throughout his lifetime. Being a talented handyman, he always enjoyed helping other people with any fix-it project. His interests included horseback riding and collecting and restoring antique cars. Forest is survived by his wife Judy, his daughter Trudie (Eddie) Kesler of Sandy; father Claude (Elaine) of Ogden; brother Claude Jr. (Bonnie) of Brookings, OR; mother-in-law Gladys Volker, two grandsons Duncan and Connor Kesler and 12 Godchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother Olive and brother Harold.
