Francell Susie Boman Obituary (1938 - 2013)

Francell "Susie" Boman BRIGHAM CITY - Francell "Susie" Brown Boman 75, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, March 28, 2013 in Brigham City. She was born on March 18, 1938 and was adopted by James Adney and Flora Fern Stokes Brown. Susie as she was called was reared and educated in Brigham City. She graduated from Box Elder High School and attended Brigham Young University. At age 56 she returned to school where she received training as a medical assistant. Francell married Wesley K. Boman on August 30, 1957 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were married for 25 years and had three children. Her life was beautiful although dotted with much adversity. She loved dancing, playing the piano, organ, and singing, although her greatest love was her three children: Stephen, Lori, and Suzanne and her 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. As a young woman, Susie attended Girls State and was known for her love of music as she performed with her husband and as a member of a women's quartet. She was active in the LDS Church where her favorite callings were: Relief Society President, teacher, choir director, and Laurel instructor. Susie spent many years in the work force, including work at BYU and Thiokol Corporation, worked as a Hospice and BCCH Hospital volunteer, starting the Gift Shop and Physicians Medical Library. The jobs of "Mom" and "Grandma Susie" were her favorite. Survivors include: Reed and Lori Price, and children: Jennifer, Adam and Alex; Richard and Suzanne Ord and children: Michelle, Kandice, and Garrett; Barry and Leisha Johnson and children: Jared and Kimberly. Francell was preceded in death by her son, Stephen, her parents, a sister Bonnie Turner, granddaughter, Stacie Boman and twin grandsons, Joshua and Jacob Price. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City, UT. Friends may call on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 to 10:40 a.m. at the Mortuary. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers she requested donations to be made to the LDS Church Missionary Fund or Brigham City Senior Center.
