FRANKLIN ROSS REYNA

CLINTON - Our loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, friend; Franklin Ross Reyna, 63, died surrounded by family and friends on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 of complications following a heart attack he suffered on February 16, 2008. Franklin was born, April 9, 1944, raised and died on the same land, in Clinton, Utah.

He is the son of Pedro Reyna and Dora Dominguez. He married Linda Story April 17, 1965; together they had 2 sons and 2 daughters; Amy, Mark, Heidi, and Christopher. They were later divorced.

On December 31, 2001 he then married his love, Ramona F. Lawrence. Together they loved raising pheasants, chickens, and gardening.

He will be most remembered in the community as an entertainment promoter for the Family Fiesta Days and the Pheasant Guy. He also loved camping, hunting, fishing and four wheeling with his sons and grandsons. He made lots of friends, "one dollar at a time", shooting pool. Everyone that would visit with him would have an opportunity to sing a song on the karaoke machine.

He was very proud of his work as a Highway Specialist for the Utah State Department of transportation for 20 years, where he retired. If anyone took a ride with him they would have heard story after story about his experiences.

He is survived by his wife Ramona Reyna; children, Amy Enriquez; Mark (Mandy) Reyna; Heidi (Shamas) Dowty, Guam; Christopher (Trista) Reyna. Also, a BIG wonderful family of 4 brothers and 9 sisters; Joe (Jackie) Reyna, Ben Reyna, Manual (Ann) Reyna; Bessie (Wynn) Mortensen; Annie (Arnold) Fraga; Marylou Labato; Madeline Reyna; Eleanor (Pat) Prater; Margaret Greenwood; Delilah (Don) Walker; Josie Martinez; Nina (Beth) Reyna. Also, 13 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Pedro and Dora and one brother Frank.

On behalf of our father we would like to extend a special appreciation to Mr. Nolan Evans, Dad's friend and home teacher. Also the home care teams of Manor Care and VistaCare Hospice.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, Roy, Utah. Family and friends may call Monday, April 7, 2008 from 6-8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 11:45-12:45 p.m., prior to services, at the mortuary.
