Fred George Means

FARR WEST - Fred George Means, 80, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at his home from cancer.

He was born September 24, 1926 in Santa Maria, CA a son of Reginald Stocks and Ruby Stratton. He married Nelda Aldridge on November 25, 1945 in Bremerton, WA.

He served in the US Navy during WWII. He retired from NARF Alameda in 1982. Following his retirement he worked with MHD Corp. and started his own Co., Means International Aviation. He cherished the friendships that he made so easily, he loved people.

He was affiliated with the Baptist Church and was a Mason. He loved to golf with his friends and family, and had a passion for cooking. He will be missed dearly.

He is survived by his wife, Nelda; two sons, Ronald Means (Christy), Farr West; Randy Means (Dubelsa), Jacksonville, FL; seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; one brother, Raymond (Buzz) Means, El Cajon, CA.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol; two grandsons, Robert and David.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 10, 2007, 11:00 a.m. at the Myers Mortuary Chapel, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, where family and friends may call Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Monday from 10 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery, 526 East 2850 North, North Ogden; where military honors will be accorded.
