In Loving Memory of Fredrick Archie Mitchell

Fredrick Archie Mitchell was born on September 20, 1951, to Thomas James Mitchell and Sally Stanger Mitchell. On October 22, 2026, Fred peacefully returned to his heavenly home, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family.

Fred had a deep love for the outdoors and found great joy in fishing, hunting, and spending time in nature. He had a special appreciation for the beauty of the world around him and the animals that called it home. Talented in all things mechanical, Fred had a gift for understanding how things worked and a generous heart that was always willing to lend a helping hand. He freely shared his knowledge and talents with others, offering his time and skills to anyone in need. Through his kindness and willingness to help, he touched the lives of many.

Fred was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and his faith was an important part of his life. He was sealed to his beloved wife, Laura Jean Mitchell, in the Ogden, Utah Temple, a bond he held dear.

Fred will be welcomed into a joyful reunion with his beloved wife, Laura Jean Spencer Mitchell, his son Steven Mitchell, and other cherished family members and loved ones who have gone before him. Though we find comfort in knowing he is reunited with those he loved, his absence will be deeply felt by the family and friends who remain and whose lives were made better by having known him.

Fred is survived by his daughter, Kelly Mitchell, and his son, Ryan (Robin) Mitchell. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Spencer Mitchell, Zachary Mitchell, Alexander Mitchell, Cristyn Hatley, and Abigail Hatley, as well as his beloved great-granddaughter, Kingsley Nielsen. Fred was more than a grandfather; he was a devoted friend, a trusted mentor, and a source of love and guidance to his grandchildren. The memories they shared and the lessons he passed on will remain with them always.

Fred's family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all those who befriended Fred and showed him kindness, brotherhood, and fellowship throughout his life. Your friendship, generosity, and love meant more than words can express. Thank you for being part of Fred's life and for helping make his journey a little brighter.

Fred will be remembered for his generous spirit, his love of the outdoors, his willingness to help others, and the lasting connections he made with those around him. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
