Gary Lee Christensen

ROY -Gary Lee Christensen passed away at his home on April 30, 2016. He was born on May 25, 1949, in Brigham City, Utah the son of Wallace Peter and Fay Robbins Christensen. Gary attended schools in Brigham City and graduated from Box Elder High School. He graduated with his Bachelor's Degree in Education from Weber State College and earned his Master's Degree in German Language from Brigham Young University. He taught at Box Elder high school and Brigham Young University. Gary and his wife Terry Ann were married in the Provo LDS Temple on August 18, 1978. Gary was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a faithful home teacher and served in many different callings. At the time of his death, Gary and Terry Ann were service missionaries in the Monte Vista Ward.
He was an Independent Agent for Allstate Insurance Company for 29 years, retiring in 2015. He was a member of the Bonneville chapter of Independent Life and Financial Insurance Advisors for 25 years and had served on their governing board.
Gary loved his family, music and golf. He sang in choirs during his high school and college years. Gary was a member of the Wasatch Master Chorale. His final performance was the night before his death.
Surviving are his wife, Terry Ann Christensen, children: Jennifer Lynne (Jesse) Clinger, Gary Tyler (Jana) Christensen, Charlotte Ann (Justin) Chaffee, and Camille Lee (Lloyd) Cosper, and eight grandchildren; mother Fay Christensen; siblings: Phil (Tana) Christensen, Kim (Pam) Christensen, Jan (Sharon) Christensen, Robyn (Jeffrey) Call, and Chad (Laura) Christensen.
Gary was preceded in death by his father Wally and grandson, Brannick Chaffee.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Myers Mortuary Chapel, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City, UT.
A viewing will be Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Roy Myers Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, Roy, UT and Friday, from 10 to 10:40 a.m. at the Brigham City Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
