Gary Frank Thompson, 71, passed away September 2, 2015 following an illness.

Gary lived most of his life in Roy, Utah and was an active member of the Roy Christian Church where he was loved by many. He was a faithful Bible student and enjoyed serving others at the Ogden Rescue Mission.

He enjoyed being a Clearfield City police officer until he was unable to due to health problems.

Gary was preceded in death by two of his sons, Todd and Richard. He was survived by 4 of his children, Ann, Brian, Michael and Megan; his 4 nieces, DeAnn, Elaine, Eileen and JoDean; and 10 grandchildren.
He will be remembered most for his unique sense of humor and genuine love for his friends and family.

Gary's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the pastor and members of the Roy Christian Church for the love and care they showed for him. We consider you an extension of our own church family.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 S. 1900 W., with a viewing from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to services.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Roy Christian Church, 4347 S. 1900 W. Roy, Utah 84067.
Interment, Roy City Cemetery.
