OGDEN -Gary Russell wood, 75, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2008 at his home.

Gary was born on November 21, 1932 the third of seven children, in Auburn, WY. To Russell and Alphia Wood.

After serving his country in the US Army during the Korean Was he married Betty Ann Banks on June 7, 1957, their marriage was sealed for time and all Eternity in the Logan Temple in 1958. They recently celebrated their 51st Anniversary.

In their early years they moved to Borger, TX where Betty was raised. Gary worked for Dow chemical for 6 yrs. And in 1964 they moved to Ogden where they raised their five children. Gary soon settled into a distinguished career with the Electrolux Corp. At Electrolux he rose through the ranks of management and was the Ogden Branch Management for most of those years. He was known for his customer service and great work ethic.

Gary enjoyed Golf and was very competitive. His brothers Val, Kent and Sam played often. Gary's brothers and sisters have been great examples to him and they were all extremely close.

His church service included being a 100% faithful Home Teacher, and serving as a counselor in Borger, TX Branch Presidency, Young Men's leader, Stake missionary, and 18 years as a member of the Gardens Assisted Living Branch Presidency where he and Betty labored in the service of so many people. Their service has not gone unnoticed by their children and their Heavenly Father.

Greatest of all was his relationship with his wife Betty. They were rarely apart and his first thoughts were always for her. He loved her and lived to take care of whatever need she had. Their relationship has been a great example to their family and friends and one all of us should be so fortunate to have.
