Gaylene ''Gaye'' Ruth Crompton Obituary (1939 - 2004)

Gaye McKinstry Crompton OGDEN - Gaylene Ruth McKinstry Crompton passed away June 16, 2004 at her home, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born April 10, 1939 in Ogden, the daughter of Merrell F. and Mildred Adams McKinstry. She attended schools in Ogden. Lived in California for nine years. She then moved back to Ogden where she resumed her career as a hairdresser of 40 years. On July 9, 1967 she married Bruce G. Crompton. They had one son Tyler G. Crompton. Gaye has been an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ and has served in many church capacities with Relief Society service being the love of her church service. She has also served on many city committees. She especially loved the work she did on the "Christmas Village" each year. She is survived by her husband Bruce Crompton of Ogden; son Tyler (Jamie) of Ogden; one grandson, Easton; brothers Ron (Judy) of Glendale, Arizona, Jim (Margo) of Layton; and Mike (Vicki) of Roy. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred.
