BRIGHAM CITY - Geneva Ellen Montes Taylor, 74 ascended peacefully Tuesday, August 21, 2012 surrounded by her family.
Ellen was born in Fort Duchesne, UT on September 2, 1937 to Thomas H and Opal Pritchett Montes.
She married Richard Donald Taylor on March 23, 1958 in Ogden, UT.
Dick and Ellen played in a country band together; she played the bass guitar and was a singer.
The family would like to thank Dr. Bryce and Dr. Dibble and the staff in the ICU at Brigham Hospital, for taking such good care of our sweet mother.
Surviving are her children: Corey L. (Louise) Taylor, Lacey E. Taylor, Trudy D. Taylor (Jeffrey) Williams, step-children: Patricia Hernandez, Richanda Hernandez, William Taylor, 26 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Also siblings: David Montes, Tom Montes, Mark Montes, Lee Montes, Jeri Montes Espinoza and Lola Murdock. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Judy Montes, brother Dale Ioupe and great-granddaughter Stevie Moates.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 12:00 Noon at Myers Mortuary Chapel, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City, UT.
Friends may call on Saturday 11:00 to 11:40 a.m. at the Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers contributes may be made to Myers Mortuary to help with the funeral.
Ellen was a wonderful homemaker, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be deeply missed.
