Genevieve Roselia Wood Jensen Obituary (1912 - 2007)

Genevieve Roselia Wood Jensen 1912 ~ 2007 A Great Lady OGDEN - Genevieve Roselia was born May 2, 1912, in Ogden, Utah, to Permelia Stephens Wood and William Henry Wood. Gen passed away July 14, 2007 at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah due to incident of age. She was 95 years old. She was raised and schooled in Ogden. Her father was killed in an accident when she was two years old. Her widowed Mother raised Gen and her brother William Henry Wood Jr. by herself. Gen married Bernard Huus Jensen on November 02, 1929 in Farmington, Utah, later they were sealed in the Ogden Utah Temple. They had a daughter, Marilyn and a son Paul. Widowed in 1976, she kept busy by helping take care of any family member who was ill, or needed assistance in anyway. She worked hard keeping her home and yard in top shape. She loved to travel and spend time with the grandchildren. She was a member of the LDS Church. A longtime member of the Golden Spike Ladies Society of Firemen and Engineers #410. She drove her beloved White Buick until she was 93. She is survived by her daughter Marilyn (Selar) Hutchings and son Paul (Deanna) Jensen, five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 19, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Myers Mortuary of Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd., where family and friends may call prior to the service from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. A special thanks to Dr. Nancy Zega and staff for their kindness and care to Genevieve.
