Geniel Snarr Armstrong Obituary (1936 - 2019)

GENIEL SNARR ARMSTRONG 1936-2019 Click here to listen to Funeral: In her life, no one laughed at herself louder, enjoyed a good meal with more enthusiasm, or had a better time dancing with her husband. No one had a worse sense of direction, more gleefully enjoyed stealing her children's Halloween chocolate candies; or read more voraciously. No one was prouder of her children, was more excited to welcome her grandchildren and great grandchildren into her growing family or treasured all the memorable times with her sisters as much as Geniel did. And in her dying, no one's final journey was more heartbreaking. Geniel Snarr Armstrong - beloved daughter of Newell Snarr and Jessie Johnson; sister of Evelyn Campbell, Newell McCarroll (Mac) Snarr, Maureen Naisbitt, and Lavon East; mother of Colleen (Scott) Roberts, Andy (Imelda) Armstrong, Molly (John) Chugg, Niel Armstrong, and the late Amy Armstrong; grandmother to 15 grandchildren; great grandmother to numerous great grandchildren; and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints - was born on December 17, 1936 and left this earth on April 28, 2019 to join her dance partner and one true love, Ward, her brother Mac, her cherished daughter, Amy and great grandson Carter Clyde Barker. We will miss her infectious laugh, her extraordinary kindness and all the great stories of fun times she leaves behind. Special thanks to Encompass Health and friends Tammy Buckway, Julie Burchell and Karen Bronson who helped make Geniel's final days as pain-free and comfortable as possible. Join family and friends as we say a final farewell to our unforgettable Geniel. Visitation at Myer's Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah on Thursday, May 2nd from 6pm to 8pm; funeral services at Myer's Mortuary on Friday, May 3rd at 11am. Friends may visit family from 10am to 10:40am prior to the service. Interment at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
