George W. Carr Jr.

OGDEN/MORGAN - George William Carr Jr., 67 passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at his home.

He was born August 6, 1942 in Ogden, Utah to George W. Carr Sr. and Josephine O. Hassell Carr. He was raised in Morgan, Utah, graduating from Morgan High School. He attended Weber State College.

George married Cheryl Jeppson. They were late divorced. George married Sheryl Lee Smith on December 6, 1967. Sheryl preceded him in death on May 1, 1999.

George worked at D.D.O., Lakeside, and retired from Hill Air Force Base. After retirement, he worked various jobs, including The Silver Smith Casino, Robinson Waste, 7-Eleven, and Cornerstone.

Surviving are four sons and one daughter, Duke (Holly) Carr, Michael Carr, California; Lori (Mitch) Hardman, West Point; Eric Carr, Sunset; Andrew (Bree) Carr, Clinton; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and brother, Gervase Hale.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, May 17, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the South Morgan Cemetery, 4th South on Cemetery Road. Friends may call on Sunday at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, Roy from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Monday from 9 to 10 a.m. prior to services.
