Georgeanna Hartley Obituary (1938

Georgeanna Hartley 8/2/1938-6/17/2013 On June 17th 2013 our beautiful mother, Georgeanna (Georgie) Hartley, 74, left this world to rejoin her parents. Georgeanna was born in Kewanee, Illinois and raised in Toulon, Illinois, which she considered her "home", even though she had not resided there since the age of 18. Family was the cornerstone of Georgie's life. She was a devoted and loving sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a "mother" to many, even those not biologically related to her. She taught her family about love and true commitment during her life, and grace, strength and dignity in her death. Georgie spent her last days surrounded by her loved ones. "Maga", as she was known to her grandchildren, was adored by her family and will be sorely missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, Doris Annette Gerard Hartley and Ronald Wayne (Rex) Hartley of Toulon, Illinois. She is survived by her brother David (Emma Alice), children Melinda (Craig) Procter, Amy Closen, and Brad (Julie) Closen, as well as 7 grandchildren (Amanda, Shae, Shauna, Samantha, Abigail, Eliza and Corbin) and 2 great-grandchildren.
