Geraldine "Geri" Winward Goodliffe was born March 8, 1943, to Richard Eugene and Myrtle Folker Winward. She was born and raised in Ogden, UT. She attended Ogden schools and graduated from Ogden High in 1960. Geri was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She married her childhood sweetheart, Dennis Arbon Goodliffe on April 13, 1960. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Ogden Temple on November 10, 1984. Together they had two children.
Geri worked for many years at Key Bank in Operations and later worked as a Teller. She received awards for her outstanding performance and took pride in her work until she retired in 1989. She carried forward the knowledge and skills from her career and was meticulous with her finances and other aspects of her life. She had a beautiful gift of playing the piano by ear, was an immaculate housekeeper, and took pride in everything she did.
Geri treasured her friendships and loved to socialize. Her favorite day of the week was "Hair Day" where she loved being pampered and visiting with other ladies. She also enjoyed bowling in leagues, going for walks, traveling, and "shopping 'til she dropped."
Geri cherished her family. She loved spending time with her daughter and best friend, Karen. They enjoyed many adventures, sipping their o'le, watching their favorite shows, and laughing together. She loved and adored her "grands" and "great grandies," they were the light of her life. Geri was caring, thoughtful, and went to great lengths to find the perfect gift. Her attention to detail and thoughtfulness was second to none. She shared these special qualities with her family and others, and truly made them feel special.
Surrounded by her loved ones, Geri returned home to her Heavenly Father on April 27, 2023. She is survived by her son Rick Goodliffe (Lisa); daughter Karen Bastian (Kenny); 9 grands and 12 great grandies; brother Kenneth E. Winward. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
