Gladys "Ricky" Eleanor Muir Obituary (1926 - 2015)

Gladys (Ricky) Eleanor Richardson Muir Ricky went home to be with the Lord on Monday October 12th 2015. Born in 1926 in London, England, the child of John and Elizabeth Richardson. Ricky lost her mother at the age of 12. She was a professional dancer in England and her father's dying wish was that she come to America, a wish that Ricky fulfilled at the age of 28. After becoming a US citizen, and spending time in Tennessee, and San Francisco, CA, she married Ramon Miguel Suarez and had her first child, Adele. She later married Paul Angus Muir and had a son, Larry (deceased). She had a long career with the IRS from which she retired in 1981. Ricky was a very strong woman constantly telling her children that they came from a long line of very strong people. She was a natural encourager and would often tell those who looked to her for guidance that there is nothing you cannot do if you put your mind to it. Ricky was a born again believer in Christ coming to a profession of faith in 1991. Because of this we know that she is at home with God. The physician attending her passing, also a believer, told family "congratulations, your mother has passed." Such is the confidence we have in Christ and Christ alone. Ricky is survived by a daughter, Adele; grandchildren Troy and Tonya Payne; and great-grandchildren Brooke and DeAngelo Payne and Gia Salazar. Special thanks to Wasatch Care Center and McKay Dee Hospital for the love and care that they showed to Ricky. Also a special thanks to Blaine Allen who she met in 1972 and has been her guardian angel and friend since. Graveside services will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, October 16, 2015 at the Mountain View Cemetery in Beaver, Utah.
