Gloria Hadley Favero

OGDEN - Gloria Hadley Favero passed away in the presence of her husband and son on January 7, 2007 after an extended illness. She was born October 1, 1925 to Lorenzo A. and Letha Manning Hadley. She lived in Taylor, Utah her entire life.

She attended Taylor School, West Weber School and graduated from Weber High School in 1943. She enjoyed keeping busy and worked at several jobs as a young woman, including the Ogden Egg Co., Plain City Cannery, Del Monte Packing, Kress Store, Emporium, C.C. Anderson and as a substitute school teacher.

On November 24, 1943 she married Carl Favero, her eternal sweetheart, in the Salt Lake Temple. Together, they enjoyed 63 years of love, companionship and friendship.

She worked for many years at Favero Shoes and First Security Bank, from where she retired.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She had a great love for the Gospel and a strong testimony of the power of prayer. She served in many callings including Ward Organist, Organist in the Sunday School, Primary, Relief Society, and Ward Choir, Sunday School Teacher, Relief Society Visiting Teacher, and ward Young Women President.

She enjoyed playing the piano and was accompanist for various soloists, singing groups, orchestras and bands. She loved being of service to others, and spent much of her time throughout her life helping friends and family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Surviving are her husband Carl Favero; her son Richard H. (Andrea) Favero; grandchildren, Diane (Jon) Calvert, Laura (J.B.) Haws, Michael (Andrea) Favero, Lane Favero, Katie Favero; and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers, Dean M. (Nelda) Hadley, Jay L. (Elda) Hadley, Blaine A. Hadley, Monty J. (Kay) Hadley and sisters-in-law, Neila Hadley and Ione Hadley.

She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Amanda Favero and brothers,
