GLORIA R. WIXOM

BRIGHAM CITY - Gloria Ross Wixom, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2003 at the Brigham City Community hospital after a courageous battle with ALS with her family by her side.
She was born October 14, 1951 in Brigham City, the oldest daughter of Martin and Florene Ross. She was born, raised and lived all of her life in Corinne. She graduated from BEHS and attended two years of College. She worked at Box Elder Enterprises where she met Lynn Wixom. They were married September 12, 1970 in Corinne. They had one son inherited two daughters. She also ran her own day care. In 1984 she started work at Thiokol as a clerk. She worked there until her medical leave in 2002.
She enjoyed crocheting, watching the leaves change in the fall, her horses, which she looked out the window to check on every day, her family and friends and especially her three precious grandsons. She was a member of the Corinne Volunteer Fire Department for 12 years. Serving as secretary and/or treasurer for the majority of the time. She was a member of the LDS church where she served as a primary teacher. She was also a member of the Planning and Zoning Commission.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, father and one niece.
Gloria is survived by her husband, Lynn, Corinne, one son, Shane (Maribeth) Wixom, Brigham, daughters, Amanda (John) Hardy, Corinne and Angela Anderson, Deweyville, three grandsons; Paxton, Nickalaus and Dylan. Her mother, Florene (Gary) Jensen, Trenton. Sibling; Glena Hugie, Cheyenne, WY, Gene (Kris) Ross, Pleasant Grove, UT, George (Dot) Ross, Corinne, Grace Ross, Brigham, Edna (Frank) Totter, Corinne, Frank (Patty) Ross, Logan, Shirlee Ross, Brigham and many nieces and nephews.
She was a well-known woman who touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew of her.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 3, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Corinne Ward Chapel, 2325 North 4000 West, Corinne.
Friends may call on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City and on Friday from 1:00 to 1:40 p.m. at the Church.
Interment will be in the Corinne City Cemetery with Fire Department Honors Accorded.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes to have donations be made to ALS National Foundation for Research in care of Grace Matsumura, 5395 South 2300 West, Roy, Utah 84067.
