"Together Again"

Gregory Roylance, of Huntsville, passed away on November 8, 2016. Dad was born June 23, 1947 to William Albert and Zudora Vivian Wiseman Roylance. Dad was raised in Huntsville and attended Valley Elementary, Valley Jr. High and graduated from Weber High School.

Greg proudly served our country; decorations awarded: Vietnam Service Medal w/2 Bronze Service Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Expert (Rifle), National Defense Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal and Good Conduct Medal.

Anxiously returning from war to his love Julie. Greg and Julie then married on February 14, 1970.

Greg retired from HAFB, then decided to work for the town of Huntsville, doing his part to help his friends and family maintain a beautiful place to call home. Dad was a teacher of many things, his method was simple, he taught by example.

Our father never let a man down. He fulfilled every obligation he ever made; his word was his bond, everyone knew that. We never heard him lie, or intentionally deceive anyone. Dad never made an enemy he was loyal to all. He was Our Hero!

Our father loved our mother with every bone in his body. Together they created a wonderful loving home for us and our families. This type of stability is almost non-existent.

Thank you our wonderful parents for all you have given! Love Always!

Our dad is survived by his daughter Nanette; son Lance (Leslie); 6 grandchildren, Nicole, Kacey, Kelsey, Tiara, Davin, Payton and 4 great-grandchildren, Anna, Kaylum, Archer, and Zayden. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings and his beloved wife, Julie.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at the Huntsville City Cemetery where Military Honors will be accorded. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd.
