Hailee Anderson Obituary (2003 - 2023)

Hailee Anderson, our sweet daughter and big sister, passed suddenly and peacefully at home, on Wednesday May 17th, 2023. Hailee was born on March 18th, 2003 in Layton, Utah to Richard and Kimberlee Barber Anderson currently of North Ogden, Utah. While an infant, she moved with her parents to Arizona where she spent her early life and welcomed two brothers who were her best friends, Josh and Zach. When she moved to Flagstaff, AZ at age 3, she got out of the car and exclaimed, "It smells good here!" Her heart remained with Flagstaff ever since. She longed to go back one day. Hailee fell in love with music at a very young age and quickly developed an interest in Piano. Her favorite pieces had emotion, fast tempo and wide ranges. Her fingers flew so fast across the keys and her ability to sight-read fascinated all who were lucky enough to watch her play. She found peace in music, and had a way of expressing that peace and love to any who heard her play. She learned violin at Orion Junior High with a wonderful teacher and continued in orchestra through high school. She listened to rock with dad, Andrea Boccelli and Country with mom, and taught her brothers an appreciation of a variety of music styles. She would move from R&B, to Indie pop, to inspiring styles, and onto Viking Shanties (who knew those existed?) all depending on her mood. Hailee Graduated from Weber High school in 2021 and was attending Weber State University studying Psychology and Health Promotions, with a hope to council and work with others. She planned on graduating with her bachelor's degree in only three short years. She lived every day with intention. She worked to become her best self and live with a purpose. She was an angel who befriended everyone and wasn't afraid to be her cheery and caring self. Her infectious laugh drew people to her. She was uninhibited and confident. She laughed when she was happy, uncomfortable, anxious, and even when she lost her wallet. She would sing at work, sing at home, sing in the car and then spend hours on the piano when she got home. Music filled her soul. She worked at Lee's grocery store as a produce clerk and loved her job and her co-workers dearly. When visiting Lee's you could easily locate Hailee because you could hear her contagious and energetic laugh that brightened your day. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had fond memories of great young women leaders and bishoprics that encouraged her to be herself, be happy, love others, and have fun. She had good role models in school, church and family. We appreciate their service and contribution to the development of a well-rounded, bright and beautiful woman. Hailee is deeply missed by all and is a great example to her family. We love you sweet girl. A viewing will be held on Thursday May 25th, 2023 from 1:00 - 2:30 at Myers Mortuary in Ogden. A graveside service will follow at Ben Lomond cemetery at 3:00.
