BRIGHAM CITY- Harvey Frank Winward returned to his Heavenly home Friday, December 4, 2009 after a long illness.
He was born February 19, 1929 in Salt Lake City, UT to Leland Samuel and Helen Viola Hale Winward.
Harvey Frank was raised in Salt Lake City. He married Mae Elaine Ferguson, October 12, 1946. Two children were born to them. He married Connie Jill Epperson, August 18, 1951. They had eight children and were later divorced. He married Billie Jean Foote Anderson, November 12, 1975. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.
He worked various jobs throughout his life. He graduated from Trade Technical College in Salt Lake City in Auto Mechanics and Electricity. He served for three years as a mechanic in the US Army Mechanic Tank Battalion. He worked at the Utah State Prison for 20 years retiring on May of 1982. He and Billie enjoyed camping and traveling, in 1999 they bought a home in Downey, Idaho.
He is survived by his wife, Billie Jean, siblings: Leland Samuel Jr. (Coleen), Barbara Rae (Robert Seager), Keith Loren (Janet), sister-in-law Joyce Winward, children Vicki (Ken Coffin), Harvey Frank Jr. (Karen), Julia Leigh (Arven Roberts), Michael Joe (Lori), Jenny Lyn (Robert Moore), James Wallace (Sandra), John Kent (Valerie), Joni LaRee (Ken Kesler), William Jeffrey, Jackie LaJoy (Brian Bracken). He is also survived by his wife's children: Michael Joseph (Rhonda), Larry Allen, David Lynn (Darla), Scott Douglas, Cherri (Kirk MacFarlane), Nancy (Casey Seager), and brother-in-law Glen Reed Foote (Shirley).
He and Billie Jean were blessed with 59 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, with three more on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Robert Hale Winward, grandson Dallin Clarke Winward, sister-in-law Velynn Foote.
Services will be Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City, UT. Friends may call Saturday 11:00 to 12:45 p.m.
Interment will be in Brigham City Cemetery.
