Hazel Irene (Johnson) Rackham recording. North Ogden - Our treasured wife, mother and grandmother, Hazel Rackham, returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, May 25, 2016. She was born August 5, 1940 in Lewiston, Idaho to Earl and Norma Irene (Dopp) Johnson. Hazel married her childhood sweetheart and love of her life, Jerry Rackham, on February 20, 1959. Their union was blessed with seven children; Shelly Rackham, Ann (Howard) Dabb, Brent Rackham, Kathy Rackham, Sandy (Matt) Anderson, Sharon (Darrell) Cottrell and Karen (Mitchell) Jones. Her family was always her highest priority. She was a member of the No. Ogden 16th Ward and always served diligently in many church callings. She touched many lives through her years of service. She loved Utah Jazz date nights with Jerry, her children and grandchildren. It was important that she had a relationship with each child and grandchild; everyone felt like they were her favorite. She was a wonderful coach, loved sports and was actively involved in everyone's lives. She is survived by her husband; her children; 21 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers and 3 sisters, Sherae Amidan, Thelma Loock, Linda Green, Wayne Johnson and Larry Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, David Johnson and granddaughter, Michelle Dabb. Funeral Services will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at the North Ogden 16th Ward, 203 East Elberta Drive; viewings will be held at the church on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM and on Wednesday prior to services from 9:40 to 10:40 AM. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Myers Ogden Mortuary.
