Henry ''Hank'' Earl Moore Obituary (1928 - 2004)

HENRY 'HANK' EARL MOORE ROY - The not so lonely Maytag man has finally hung up his tool belt, on Sunday, October 17, 2004. He was born October 3, 1928 at home in Hooper, Utah, to Samuel James Moore, and Louella Simpson Moore. He was raised and educated in Hooper. He also served in the Korean War as a lineman. He married his eternal companion and life long sweetheart Cleone Lavon Manning, in the Salt Lake Temple June 16, 1955. He worked for and became a member of the Koga Kiesel Sales family for more than 43 years. He continued to work on and repair appliances even after retirement. Henry was a member of the Roy 23rd Ward of the L.D.S. church and served as a High Priest. He served as a Stake Missionary, and also as a missionary at the dry pack cannery. Henry was a devoted family man. Not only to his wife, three children and grandchildren but, to all his extended family members. He was also loved and cherished by his many nieces and nephews. He taught us to work hard and enjoy the family time that we spent camping, fishing, hunting and all our family outings. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 49 years, his son Blair (Peggy) Moore, Hooper; Karen (Bob) Knight, Riverdale; DeAnn (Kevin) Homer, West Point; six grandchildren, Jenny (J.C.) Wilson, Shayne Knight, Travis Knight, Tori (Jason) Ferguson, Brock Homer, Laci Homer, six great-grandchildren, Braiden, Sara, Alex, Chase, Cassie, and Bailey. Also survived by four sisters and a brother, Vonda (Harold) Byington, Margaret Byington, Josephine Lloyd, Vern (Ruby) Moore, Louella Colter, and also his loving in-laws who meant as much to him as his own brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers Charles (Chuck), and George. A special thanks to Dr. Bruce Burtenshaw, Dr. Dean Flanders, and Dr. Wade Larsen and the Staff at Tanner Clinic for their compassionate service. Dad, you touched many more lives than you know and we will all greatly miss you and will never forget you.
