H. Maxine Mcfarland Obituary (1938 - 2002)

H. Maxine McFarland OGDEN - H. Maxine McFarland returned to her Mom and Dad and Father in heaven on November 21, 2002. Maxine was born in Smithfield, Utah on December 9th, 1938 to Joseph H. and Hilma G. Jonas. She graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1957. She graduated from Superior Beauty School, where she worked as a stylist for several years and went on to run her own successful business, "Maxine's Stylette". Maxine also worked at McKay-Dee Hospital as a ward secretary for seven years. She went on to work as a pharmacist assistant for 18 years at Wangsgard's Pharmacy until her retirement. On July 1st, 1961 she married John P. McFarland in Elko, NV. She loved to sketch, paint, crochet, sew, knit and play the piano with her children. She was a dear friend and confidant. She was above all a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who never hesitated to put others needs before her own. She is survived by her devoted husband of 41 years, John P. McFarland and four loving children, Mark (Cami) McFarland, M. Patti McFarland, Scott A. (Charon) McFarland and Karolee M. (Kevin) Darnell; and nine adorable grandchildren, Brittani, Cassie, Jaden, Chantel, Bracken, Mersadie, Kennadie, Serynn, and Kevin Jr. She is also survived by an older brother, Lee (Ginger) Jonas and four sisters, Nancy (Bob) Howard, Evelyn (Harold) Hilton, Ellen Dewey and Helen (Kenny) Lyle. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Earl R. Jonas and one nephew, Brett E. Jonas.
