Hobert Reeves Obituary (1928 - 2024)

Hobert Reeves, 95, passed away September 21, 2024, in Ogden, Utah. He was born December 17, 1928, in Clarksville, Texas to Jim Reeves and Ola Bell Dillard. Hobert attended elementary school at his local church and attended Cheatham High School through the 11th grade. He was a devote Christian Baptist and his life reflected his faith in his Savior. He served in the United States Army and enlisted in 1951. He married Nellie Mae Dunlap on July 12, 1952, in Clarksville, Texas, they later divorced. Hobert enjoyed fishing, hunting and trips to Wendover. A special thanks to the family, especially granddaughter Nicole Dickerson, grandson Christopher Hester and great grandson Kyreese Hester, Dr. Hemmersmeier and his staff. Especially Tina, Wendy and Lisa for all their kindness and care they gave to him. To Symbii Hospice staff for all their care and comfort they gave, not only to my dad but my family as well. Also, thanks to family for all their love, help and support. Hobert is survived by his daughters Diane Lancaster and Renece Hester and, six grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his dad Jim Reeves, mother Ola Bell Dillard Reeves, sister Christine Davis, six brothers Paul, Elbert, Hubert, Walter, Joe and Billy Reeves. Services for Hobert will be Friday, September 27, 2024, at 1:30 pm, with a viewing prior 12:30-1:30 pm at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah. Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd, Ogden, Utah.
