Horace Eldon Ferrin Obituary (1920 - 2001)

OGDENa"Our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Horace Eldon Ferrin, age 81, passed away July 19, 2001. He was born March 29, 1920 in Rupert, Idaho to Jesse and Mary Smith Brown Ferrin. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He married Betty Skinner June 21, 1947. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on September 25, 1969. Betty died April 15, 1976. He married Elaine Hardman January 6, 1979. Eldon was a member of Lomond View Ward where he served in the Young Men's program and was a past member of the Bishopric. He retired from Hill Air Force Base as a weapons equipment specialist for the Maverick missile. He loved golfing and working in his garden. He is survived by his wife, Elaine; his children; Dan (Rosemary), Mike (Carolyn), Judy (Larry) White, Rick (Nancy), Russel, Kathy (Steve) Sanders; sisters; Irene Ferrin, Bertha Petersen; stepchildren; Bonnie (Dean) Blincoe, Steven (Jody) Hardman, Randy (Alene) Hardman, Scott Hardman; thirty-five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
