Howard ''Pete'' Swenson Obituary (1922

Howard "Pete" Barker Swenson OGDEN - Howard "Pete" Swenson, 80, passed away Monday, April 8, 2002 at Infinia Health Care in Ogden. He was born March 26, 1922 in Ogden, the twelfth of fifteen children born to Carl August Swenson and Ella May Taylor. He married Ruth Nettie Trimble on April 2, 1941 in Ogden, their marriage was solemnized on April 10, 1974 in the Ogden LDS Temple. She preceded him in death on June 26, 1989. He was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Ogden 62nd LDS Ward. He was an avid woodworker and very creative in arts, drawing and woodcarving. He also enjoyed being with his friends. Surviving are three sons, Howard Douglas Swenson, Bruce William Swenson, Bryan James Swenson, all of Ogden; one daughter, Catherine Jean Palmer, Layton; 23 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three brothers and two sisters, Richard, Margaret, Ruth, Jim and Eugene. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Carl, Olive, Louis, Merril, Joseph, Irene, Catherine, Robert, and William.
