Hugh Andrew Siler

Hugh Andrew Siler, age 71, of Green River, Wyoming passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at his daughters home in Layton, Utah.
Hugh, a long time resident of Green River, Wyoming, formerly of Manila, Utah, passed peacefully as a result of a lingering illness. He was born on July 16, 1939 in Manila, Utah, the son of Findlay F. (Flip) and Genevieve E. (Ruble) Siler. He attended school in Manila. At the age of 17 he enlisted in the National Guard and was later drafted into the Army.
In 1959 he married Dianne Peterson, the mother of his four children. They were later divorced. He then met his longtime companion June Shilcox. Following his military service he was a heavy equipment operator and member of the International Union of Operating Engineers. He was a member of the LDS Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, gardening, karaoke, spending time with his family and especially spending time in his woodworking shop making children's furniture which he took great pride in giving to his grandchildren and family to enjoy.
He is survived by his longtime friend and companion, June Shilcox and family; four children, Paul A. (Debbie) Siler, Robert L. Siler, Kenneth R. Siler, Lora Jean (Larry) Leonard. He is also survived by his two brothers, Jerry (Mary) Siler, Clyde L. Siler, and a sister Lorena L. (Siler) Dow; 10 grandchildren; Ronald A. Siler, Sereniti D. Siler, Daniel R. (Shasta) Siler, Leslie L. (Torie) Siler, Britny M. (JR) Ames, Latisha A. Olson, Diane K. Siler, Jeremy D. Leonard, Andrew "Jared" Leonard, Jacob T. Leonard; 4 Great Grandchildren; Jace A. Siler, Landon A. Siler, Kazzan L. Siler, and Preston R. Ames; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Theron D. Siler and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Funeral services for Hugh A. Siler will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 11a.m. at the Manila Ward Chapel in Manila, Utah. There will be a viewing one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Manila Cemetery.
