Hyrum Junior Sander Obituary (1928 - 2007)

OGDEN-On December 7, 2007 Hyrum Junior Sander returned home to his Heavenly Father. He was born February 17, 1928 a son of Hyrum and Hazel Lovedahl Sander. Hyrum served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He was a High priest in the LDS church where he held many teaching positions and was a faithful home teacher. Hyrum enjoyed playing the piano and taught piano lessons for over 50 years. His passion was stamp collecting. Surviving are two daughters, Marci (Jim) Salyers of Petaluma, CA.; Debra Sander of Camarillo, CA.; and six grandchildren, April; Shannon; Brandie; Jenifer; Timothy, and Tori. Also surviving is his loving best friend, Shirley Griffiths. He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlean Sander and a brother, Bill Sander. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Mound Fort Stake Center, 373 15th Street, Ogden. Friends may call at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd, Ogden on Tuesday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. and also on Wednesday from 11:45 - 12:45 p.m. at the church. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery where military honors will be accorded by the combined veterans honor guard.
