Ila Leola Foote Obituary (1918 - 2003)

Ila Foote OGDEN - Ila Leola Foote, 85, was called home to her Heavenly Father Thursday, December 18, 2003 at McKay-Dee Hospital. She was born January 27, 1918 in Mountain Home, Utah to Franklin and Sarah Ann Shirts Mecham. She married Don Carlos Foote in October 1936; they later divorced. Ila had a sweet and caring heart. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ila was a great, loving wonderful woman and will be missed by all that loved her and knew her. Ila was a member of the LDS Church, where she was active in the Relief Society and Home Teaching. She enjoyed embroidering, jigsaw puzzles, cooking, canning, camping, spending time with family, taking care of grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she loved plants and gardening. Surviving are two daughters, Verna M. Wolf and Florance E. Lopez, both of Ogden; five grandchildren, Robert Wolf, Grace Rubio, Annette Lopez, Joel Lopez, Natalie Lopez; and 20 grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers and two sisters, Dwaine, Elmer, Rhea and Ethel. She was preceded in death by her son, Arvil Don Foote; daughter Wilda May Foote; two sisters, Erma and Arvela; and two brothers, Claine and Fay.
