Ilah Jean Sowell Holdeman Obituary (1931 - 2012)

Ilah Jean Sowell Holdeman HOOPER - Jean Holdeman, 80, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at her home in Hooper. She was born November 17, 1931 in Echo, Utah to Carl and Iris N. Wadsworth Sowell. She attended Echo Elementary School and North Summit High School. On June 4, 1948 she married Harvey W. Holdeman Jr. in Echo. He passed away October 3, 1997. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was an active member of the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, The Eagles, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliaries. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, crossword puzzles and her companion cat "Oscar". She is survived by her brother, Clyde E. (Ruby) Sowell sister-in-law, Florence Sowell, four children; Terrence D. (Sharlene) Holdeman, Lynn W. (Joyce) Holdeman, Sydne G. (Steven) Arave, Gregory C. (Dawn) Holdeman, nine grandchildren; Ian Holdeman, Aric Holdeman, Steven (Sarah) Holdeman, Leslie (Julie) Holdeman, Whitni Arave, Kade Arave, Alexandra Holdeman, Danielle Holdeman, Brieanna Holdeman, five great-grandchildren; , Alyssa Holdeman, Zadia Holdeman, Lillith Holdeman, Jacob Holdeman, and Sadie Holdeman. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harvey W. Holdeman (Buck), brother, Carl Wesley Sowell. Special thanks to Dr. R. Robert Taylor, family and friends.
