Ingvar Axel Wallace Ii Obituary (1958 - 2013)

BRIGHAM CITY - Ingvar Axel Wallace II, Ph.D., passed away peacefully in his Brigham City home May 13, 2013 after a hard battle with Melanoma. He was born February 26, 1958 to Simone S. Wallace and Ingvar A. Wallace in Wiesbaden, Germany. Ingvar had many hobbies and talents and lived life to the fullest. Some of his favorite pastime was camping, mountain biking, traveling, motorcycling, working on his 1981 GMC Sierra, and he always had a project going on his house. Ingvar was a military veteran and served as a USAF firefighter at the Academy from 1975 to 1986. After graduating with the highest honor of Suma Cum Laude from Colorado University in Physical Chemistry, he went on to earn his Ph.D. from the University of Utah. After graduation, Ingvar worked 20 years as a propellant scientist at ATK in Promontory, Utah. His greatest and most cherished reward in life was his daughter Stephanie. Anyone who knew Ingvar knew how proud he was of her and how much he loved her. Ingvar was a great friend and father figure to all who knew him. He was a good listener, advisor, and always knew when to be there. He would do anything he could to help out a friend in need, and that favor was graciously returned during his illness. We thank everyone who was there and helped out and cared for Ingvar in his last days. He is survived by his daughter Stephanie, brothers: Marc (Marla) and Brian, and mother Simone. He is preceded in death by his father, Ingvar Axel Wallace and sister, Ava Marie Wallace. Graveside services will be held at the Brigham City Cemetery Saturday, May, 18 2013 at 1:00 p.m. A reception following the service will be held at his residence 467 North 300 East, all family and friends are welcome.
