Iona Boswell Christensen, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away Friday, January 8, 2016. She was born on March 20, 1923, in Colorado Springs, Colorado to loving parents George Loran and Sula Chase Boswell. She spent her childhood in Colorado, Arizona and Utah, eventually graduating from Altamont High School in 1941.

She married the love of her life, Milton C. Christensen, for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple on January 24, 1951. Iona and Milton spent 65 wonderful years together on this earth. Iona was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings throughout her life. Milton and Iona served several missions and could often be found providing service at the local temple.

She possessed a deep love and passion for painting, which she inherited from her father. She was also passionate about gardening and healthy, nutritious living. Milton and Iona owned a small piece of land in West Haven on which they grew their own crops, cultivated produce and kept bees. Many would attribute Milton and Iona's long and vibrant lives to such practices.

She enjoyed arranging flowers, sewing, cooking, canning, genealogy and especially loved piano music.

Iona is survived by her husband Milton and son, Paul, three grandchildren, Colton, Courtney and Chase, and two great-grandchildren, Chloe and Ella.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., at the Roy Cedar Crest Ward, 3845 South 2000 West, Roy, Utah. A viewing for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2016, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, Roy, Utah, and on Thursday, from 9:00 - 9:45 a.m., prior to services at the church.

Interment in the Nephi City Cemetery 400 East 400 North, Nephi, Utah, Thursday at 2:30 p.m.
