Isabel Stokes

OGDEN - Isabel Tucker Stokes, age 90, passed away Thursday, June 17, 2004 at her home.

She was born February 8, 1914 in Garland, Utah to Shirley Starkey Tucker and Ivie May Loveland. She married John Edward Stokes on October 2, 1934 in the Logan LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on January 20, 1996.

Isabel was a member of the LDS Church, where she was active in most of the ward and stake auxiliaries. She and her husband served as officiators in the Ogden LDS Temple for ten years. She was also a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.

Surviving are two daughters and two sons, Arlene (Noel Kelvin) Hess, Ogden; Renae (Bryan) Wheeler, No. Ogden; Darwin (Marsha) Stokes, Clinton; Steven (Ann) Stokes, So. Weber; 15 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters and one brother, Helen (Darrell) Stokes, Ogden; Donna (Jack) Hall, No. Ogden; Darrel (Patricia) Tucker, Keizer, OR; and Barbara (Jack) Rindlisbacher, Deweyville, UT.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers; and a grandson.
