Jack Thomas Miller, Jr Obituary (1943 - 2004)

Jack Thomas Miller, Jr., 61, passed away Friday, August 27, 2004 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born May 21, 1943 in Ogden, the son of Jack Thomas Miller, Sr. and Melba Ellen Jorgensen. He married Jean Stark, they were later divorced. On April 22, 1967 he married Claire Russell in Ogden. Jack served in the U.S. Navy. He worked for the Weber County Sheriff's department for 31 years, retiring as a Sergeant in 1998. Jack's greatest joys in life were helping other people; search and rescue; and his grandchildren. Jack is survived by his wife, Claire; one son and two daughters; Troy (Amy) Miller, Grand Junction, CO; Tina (Brion) Flinders, Roy; Trica (Rick) Ellis, Howell, UT; six grandchildren, Jared, Rilee, Reagan, Dain, Justin and Rees. He is also survived by two sisters, Marilyn (David) Summers, Eden and Marjorie (David) Kolander, Portland, OR. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jerry Miller.
