Jacqueline Alice Lavouire Brown

Syracuse ~ Jacqueline A. LaVouire Brown, 74 peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2009 after a very courageous battle with CHF and MMS.

She was born on April 1, 1935 in Slaterville, Utah to Jean LaVouire and Leatha M McNeely LaVouire. She was the oldest of four children. She lived in Layton, No. Ogden, Kaysville and Syracuse. Jackie married Kimball Hemsley and they later divorced. On March 27, 1964 she married her true love Dean Brown. When they came together between his, hers and ours there were five children total.

Jackie worked at the Poultry, Marquart and Kmart but she mostly loved being a homemaker, raising her children and fostering many others. She loved animals, flowers, birds, reading, bowling, gardening, decorating, family and friends. We will miss her deeply and while we are saddened heaven is rejoicing.

She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years; five children; Garth (Connie), Mickey, Terry, Judy and Stacy. Jackie also left behind one sister Charlene Greenwell of Salt Lake City, UT; 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death was her parents, one sister; Julia Zieglmier and one brother; Steve LaVouire.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at 12 noon at Myers Mortuary, 250 North Fairfield Road, Layton, Utah. Family and friends may gather from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to services. Interment will be at Memorial Gardens of the Wastach.
