James Jerrod Griffin

FARR WEST - James Jerrod Griffin, 82, passed away on May 1, 2009 in Farr West, UT. He was born on March 27, 1927 in Philadelphia, PA to Louise Agatha Marren and Daniel Alphonsus Griffin. James lived in Philadelphia until he joined the United States Army Air Corp in April 1945 during WWII. He honorably served his country until his discharge in September 1948.

James married Evelyn Freda Brown on July 3, 1953 in Burlington, NJ. She later passed away. James raised two step-children, Sandra Evelyn Griffin Ott and John William Siket. In October 1963, James moved to Utah where he lived in Brigham City and Ogden. He later married Carol Griffin on June 29, 2006 in Ogden.

James is survived by his wife, Carol of Farr West, UT; step-children, Sandra Evelyn Griffin Ott of South Jordan, UT, John William Siket of Honeyville, UT; step-children, Randy Williams and Carie Harris of Riverdale, UT; and 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his brother John (Jack) Daniel Griffin.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at Myers Mortuary in Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd. at 11 a.m. Family and friends may call on Monday from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday prior to the service from 10-10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Myers Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd., Ogden, UT.
