JIM B. MULLINS

BRIGHAM CITY-James B. Mullins, born in Scofield, Utah, passed away October 8, 2002, in Brigham City, Utah, at the age of 80. He was the son of Frank Mullins and Mary Ann Davis Mullins. He attended Carbon High School, where he played various sports, and later graduated from the University of Utah. He was employed in procurement at Thiokol for almost 28 years and retired in 1987 at the age of 67.

Jim was an avid golfer and loved to play in tournaments. His favorite golf course was Eagle Mountain where he made three hole in ones. He respected the integrity of the game and lived his life in much the same manner, with honesty, integrity and a sense of fair play.

He truly loved his family and friends and was adored by his grandchildren.

Jim married Donna Lue Nielsen Mullins in Price, Utah, on July 18, 1952, who predeceased him. They were married for forty-seven years and enjoyed traveling. They would spend each winter in Hawaii with their daughter's family who lived on Kauai. They were so well known and liked by the locals that they were considered to be one of them, 'Kama'aina'.

He was also predeceased by his brother Marvin Mullins and his sister Mary Mullins Wahl. He is survived by his sister Betty Mullins Rose of Plano, Texas, and his brother Robert Mullins of Las Vegas, Nevada. He is survived by a son Bob Mullins of Centerville, Utah, two daughters, Michelle Mullins Cuatto of Kauai, Hawaii, and Tamera Mullins Jensen of Mendon, Utah, eight grandchildren and his special friend DeAnne Ebeling.

To his family he was a mentor, to his friends he was an inspiration. He will be dearly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 14, at Myers Mortuary. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Myers Mortuary, 205 S.100 East, Brigham City. Graveside services will be held at Brigham City Cemetery following the funeral services.
