James Mathew Smith Jr.

Riverdale - James Mathew Smith Jr., 58, died October 5, 2009 in Ogden. He was born to Evilyn Pierce and James Mathew Smith Sr. June 22, 1951 in Malone, New York, where he was raised; he later lived in various other states and then settled in Riverdale. He married Tina Dixon in 1994; they were later divorced.

James was a decorated Vietnam Veteran; proudly serving in the US Navy.

He was employed at Kimberly-Clark.

He is survived by his sons, Cameron Harris and Nicholas C. Smith. He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 12, 2009 at Myers Mortuary of Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd., where friends may call from 10 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment, Ogden City Cemetery, where Military Honors will be accorded by the Navy Honor Guard.
