Janet Allen Keoppel

Huntsville - Janet Keoppel passed away May 9, 2013. She was born January 24, 1930 in Huntsville to Edger and Leota Hislop Allen. Janet enjoyed attending school in the valley and graduated from Weber High where she performed in several plays.

Janet served an LDS mission in Toronto, Canada from 1951 to 1952. Janet married Ralph Keoppel in the Logan Temple on March 27, 1959. As a member of the LDS Church, she served as Relief Society President and was a Primary teacher for many years; she also played the organ and was a chorister. She enjoyed needlepoint and traveling.

Janet is survived by her husband, Ralph; children, Caroline (Ron) Phillips, Catherine (Ren) Field, Charlene (Charles) Allred and Christine (Darren) Roberts; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; her sister, Bonnie (Stan) Williams and her brother, Lyle (LaVon) Allen. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister. Louise (Mel) Barrett.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 13, 2013 at the Huntsville City Cemetery.

The family thanks Vista Care, especially Theresa, Ryan, Brigette and Dan for their care of Janet.
