BRIGHAM CITY - Janet Hardy Moyes Reeder, 71 passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at the U of U Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Janet was born in Harrisville, Utah on November 7, 1940 a daughter of John Melvin and Alva West Hardy.
She attended Bear River City Elementary, Box Elder High School, USU and Weber State.
Janet married Dallas Wayne Moyes on October 4, 1960 in Elko, NV; their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on April 10, 1963. Dallas died on April 8, 2000.
She later married Hal F. Reeder on July 12, 2001 in the Logan LDS Temple.
Janet taught Elementary School in Battle Mountain, NV. Her favorite job was being a Mom and Grandmother. Grandma Janet enjoyed having cookie days and sleepovers with her grandchildren. She loved to be outside working in her flowers.
Janet was currently serving as a Family History Consultant, and a Sunday School teacher. She had served as Primary President, Young Woman's President and Relief Society President.
She and Hal served three LDS Missions: to Vietnam, and two Hand Cart Missions, Willie Site Sixth Crossing and Deseret Land and Livestock Mission. Janet and Hal also served as Temple Officiators in the Ogden Temple.
Surviving are her husband Hal, Brigham City, UT; children: Shawn W. (Karen) Moyes, Tremonton, UT; Mallory Ann Moyes, Las Vegas, NV; Damon T. Moyes, Battle Mountain, NV; bonus children: Karen (Rex) Bodrero, Hyde Park, UT; Wendy (Rick) Platt, Kaysville, UT; Annette (Rex) Pehrson, Millville, UT; David Reeder, Salt Lake City, UT; Marianne (Brian) Hiatt, Brigham City, UT; Michael (Nicole) Reeder, Brigham City, UT; seven grandchildren and 13 bonus grandchildren. Also surviving are siblings: Dee (Edna) Hardy, Doris (Mel) Manning, Jay (Jeniel) Hardy, Lynn (Nancy) Hardy, Wayne (Vicki) hardy, Karen (Larry) Thomas and Allen (Lorriane) Hardy.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dallas, sister Joyce Hardy and brother David K. Hardy.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 9, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Brigham City 17th Ward Chapel, 139 E. 300 N., Brigham City.
Friends may call on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City and on Friday from 10:00 to 10:40 a.m. at the Church.
Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
